Training, Education and ongoing Supervision....
Training & Qualifications My Background I've spent over two decades working alongside people in some of the hardest moments of their lives — in mental health services, addiction settings, and private practice. That experience taught me something credentials alone can't: healing doesn't come from technique. It comes from safety, relationship, and someone who knows how to stay steady when things get difficult. How I Practise I specialise in Internal Family Systems (IFS) as my primary modality, integrated with Polyvagal Theory and somatic bodywork. In plain terms, this means I help people: Understand the different parts of themselves — the inner critic, the protector, the wounded child — and why they show up the way they do Build genuine safety in the body, not just talk about it Heal trauma gently, through curiosity rather than pressure or reliving Qualification Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice (Pluralistic Psychotherapy) Internal Family Systems Therapy — 8+ years of training and supervised practice Polyvagal-Informed Therapist Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist Accredited Drug & Alcohol Specialist — No. 2411 NCPS Accredited Registrant — No. NCS23-03412 Licensed Hypnotherapist — NCH Reg No. HYP-00920 CBT Level 5 Diploma Level 4 Diploma in Counselling Level 3 Tackling Substance Misuse (DANOS) Level 5 Leadership and Management Advanced Specialist Training I've completed further specialist training in: Trauma & IFS Integration IFS & Complex Trauma with Dick Schwartz Treating Complex PTSD using parts-based therapy EMDR & Somatic Parts Work for Trauma Clinical Applications Clinical IFS: Step-by-step work with anxiety, depression, and addiction IFS with EMDR, Somatic Therapy, DBT, CPT, and Psychedelic Work Polyvagal + IFS Integration for Compassionate Nervous System Work Broader Contexts IFS & Parenting for emotionally dysregulated children Supervision & Accountability I receive regular clinical supervision with an accredited IFS Level 3 Consultant.
